Today is for me

Well after the searing heat of yesterday I declared today a day for me.
I got up early and did some cutting out and prepared some hand sewing. Don’t you just hate it when you sit down at night and there is nothing ready to pick up and sew in front of the television.
I can’t show you what they are yet as they are new projects for release at the trade show in June.

I did a little bit and I do mean a little bit of gardening. Don’t you just love my bird house. I have several in my rustic garden.

After working very hard pulling weeds (not) I decided on a swim.

I am very blessed to live in such a  beautiful place.
My darling husband then decided it would be nice to go out for lunch so off we went to Treefellers in Eumundi. I forgot to take a photo of the very delicious meal so Jim decided that he would just take this one instead.

After a short walk around our little town (and it is a very little town) we headed home. I am now sitting by the pool writing this blog.
We share this beautiful place with people from all over the world because not only do we run my pattern business Patchwork with Busyfingers we also have a B&B. It is called Kindred Spirits.
We run Patchwork retreats on a regular basis and next weekend will see the wonderful Helen Stubbings from Hugs and Kisses joining us for a few days teaching her colourque technique. Everyone is very excited. I’ll make sure I have lots of fun photos for you.
Just in case you were wondering, I don’t often have the opportunity to have me days but I sure do love them don’t you.
