Scrapbooking Retreat
I know I said my next post would be from Houston but I wanted to share with you a retreat we held at the weekend for some very enthusiastic scrapbookers.
It all started on Friday afternoon when they arrived early afternoon.
Seven ladies arrived with all of the bits and pieces that scrap bookers have to create amazing albums of photos.
I am here to tell you they have as much stuff as Patchworkers.
They scrap booked and ate their way through the entire weekend.
Here are some of the photos I took.
Let's start with some of the yummy food we prepared for them.
It all started with a Tapas platter
A Fruit platter that was part of the breakfast menu
Followed by Buttered Eggs and smoked salmon.
Or maybe you would prefer pancakes. Some like strawberries and cream and some like cream caramel banana pancakes.
In between breakfast and lunch came morning tea of course.
Giant scones with homemade strawberry jam or decadant fudge brownies topped with large pieces of belgium chocolate.
Followed by afternoon tea which was carrot and walnut cake with cream cheese and mango icing. Yummo!!!
Dinner Sesame and cracked pepper Atlantic Salmon.
Followed by.
Lemon meringue pie with just a touch of ice cream.
or perhaps
Chocolate dipped strawberries to finish off the evening.
The next day was much the same, more food and more scrap booking. I couldn't even tempt the ladies with a trip to the famous Eumundi markets. They were happy staying put for the weekend.
They did some fabulous work and had a wonderful time and have rebooked with us again for next year.
Just before they bid farewell I made them a special treat. I call it "A Roadie"
Yep, you guessed it. HOT CHOCOLATE in a bowl. Topped with giant marshmallows, whipped cream and Belgium chocolate.
If you would like to be spoilt for a weekend or a week come and join us here at Kindred Spirits B&B. Join in with one of our patchwork retreats or bring a group of friends and we will tailor make one for you. Whether you are a Patchworker, a scrap booker, an embroiderer or what ever your creative hobby is we will take care of you. We have some exciting things happening in the new year so be on the look out.
My next post really will be from Houston I promise
Till next time
