Paper Lanterns Sew Along Week Twenty-Two
If you’ve made it this far well done! Welcome to week 22. We’re nearing the end and its like getting ready to say goodbye to an old friend.
This week I’m meant to be in Utah at the beautiful Garden of Quilts hosted by Riley Blake Designs & Thanksgiving Point. Thanksgiving Point brings to Utah an outdoor exhibition of hundreds of quilts. Set within the award-winning, 50-acre Ashton Gardens, the exhibition features a juried collection of quilts from artists across the world, as well as rare access to view some stunning private collections from Karen Ashton pictured below–all on display for two days only.
Garden of Quilts is the most magnificent outdoor Quilt Show I have ever attended, hosting the largest man made waterfall in the northern hemisphere.
I had the most incredible time teaching and sharing my story with fellow designers & friends at last years event and am going to miss attending this year. Although the event is set up a little differently this year with no classes, you’ll still be able to attend and view all the beautiful quilt with the most stunning backdrop. Pictured below is Beverly Mccullough of Flamingo Toes a fellow fabric designers from Riley Blake.
So if you’re in Utah or close by be sure to put this on your calendar for this weekend, 18th & 19th September.
