It’s a hard life but somebody has to do it.

We had a busy weekend what with lots of orders and guests at the B&B. We were fortunate to have Glenys and Percy from Glenrose Patchwork at Warwick come and stay with us for a couple of nights but I forgot to take some photos. Never mind. What a great couple they are and a pleasure to have.
Monday was also a busy day but I found time to do the lucky draw for the Butterfly Kisses pattern.

TODAY: Well today turned out to be a wonderful day.
I got up very early to get some work done as our very dear friends John and Ann told us they were taking us on a picnic and to be ready at 10.30. Don’t bring anything were their instructions.
It was a bit of a mystery.
We went out through the Mary Valley where they are supposedly going to put a dam???
Beautiful countryside.
This was our first stop.
Jim thought it was an antique shop but alas it was far from that. Apparently this thing did have a head but the lady in the shop said it had fallen off. Poor silly wretch.
We jumped back in the car only to get 50 metres up the road where I met this charming fellow. Isn’t he cute?
This was at Amamor Station where the steam train still travels.
Can you tell that we are kind of in the country.
We came across a lovely little place to have lunch so Johnny cranked up the portable barby and threw some steaks on.
Can you believe this man? He even bought his little apron to wear. 🙂

There was no one else there and it was lovely and peaceful.
We finished our lunch and of course our wine.
Back on the road and we headed off to the Kenilworth Cheese factory where we stocked up on cheese and fresh yoghurt. Yummmm.
The day ended with a ride on the flying fox in the kids park across the road.
That was fun. I was like a kid in a candy shop.
Well it was time for a wonderful day to end. We made our way home just as the sun was going down.
We are very blessed to have this wonderful couple in our life. Everyone needs to have friends like John and Ann.
