How Lucky Am I

After a great couple of days at The Quilts Palet in Den Haag and a day at The Netherlands Quilters Guild in Leiden I was getting ready to say my good byes when I was given this wonderful gift from the girls.

They had managed to buy a box full of very old newspaper clippings of old patchwork patterns. I am so thrilled with it. Some are just copies of hand drawn sketches but they are fantastic. I love them. Thank you so much Evy and Petra. You were such wonderful hostesses and I look forward to returning next year with lots of new and exciting things.

Be sure and read the backs of those newspaper clippings…..there often is some fun stuff as well!

Sue,i remember when i started patchwork about 22 years ago i was given some photo copies of pattern pages very similar to what you recieved. I love doing hand piecing, which these patterns were great for, when looking for them recently and not able to find them i realised i must has thrown them out, which i now regret, seriously don’t know what i was thinking. Have fun with them i hope you might make something with a few of them?
