Desert Bloom Blog Hop

Firstly I would like to congratulate Amanda Herring for her latest range ‘Desert Bloom’. It is such a beautiful range filled with vibrant colour.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When I saw the fabrics I immediately thought how fantastic it would look when English Paper Pieced. There are some great prints for Fussy Cutting and they look fantastic when incorporated into my ‘All Over the Octagon’ quilt program.

The possibilities are endless! I particularly love the Medallion print when Fussy Cutting. So many different effects can be created just from cutting a different section of the  repeat. The below images are using my ‘Gabby’s Flower’ paper shapes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

These prints are also gorgeous in a Dresden plate, perfect for appliqueing onto a quilt, bag or runner.
