Another beautiful quilt

This morning after I taught my weekly class I headed off to meet up with my friend Kay. I caught up with her at the Coolum surf club for lunch. That wasn’t actually what I had in mind but it was lovely having lunch looking out over the beach.                                                   
After lunch we went back to where she is staying for coffee and a catch up on who is sewing what. This is always interesting as Kay always produces something beautiful  and as usual it is all hand pieced.
Check this one out.
It is English paper pieced with 1″ elongated hexagons and 1″ squares.
This next quilt  belongs to Kay’s friend Jennifer.
