A Dream Student

Each week I teach a class at my local Patchwork shop Cooroy Drapery. The ladies are a wonderful group and they are making a multitude of things. I thought I would show you one of my students work. Avis is a brand new patchworker and this is her first quilt. She really wanted to make a Double Wedding ring quilt after she saw my one at our B&B. Not wanting to deter her I told her if she takes one step at a time and listens to all I tell her she would manage it.
Avis was keen to hand piece it as well so I encouraged her to machine piece the arcs and the remainder she hand pieced.
It is now just 6 weeks down the track and we basted it last Tuesday. I am so proud of her.
