Bring Me Sunshine Week 14

Good Morning.

Can you believe it is Christmas week. Today marks the last day for my team, they sure have worked hard this past 12 months and I am so grateful to have them all. We have lots of exciting things planned for 2022 but for now we will hang up the apron and put our feet up for a well earned rest.

Are you all busy baking getting ready for Christmas day? I love Christmas and I love all the yummy Christmas treats. I’m not in the kitchen this year, as you know I’m building a new house so I’m spending Christmas with family and enjoying taking the year off cooking.

This week is the last week of making the full sunflower blocks.

To make the last two blocks first start by sewing two pieced sunflowers using the EPP method.

Next, sew 4 background pieces together to make a background block. Repeat this step to make a second block.

The last step is to align the pieced sunflowers to their backgrounds and applique them on.

And we are finally done with making all of the full sunflower blocks.

I hope wherever you are and whoever your spending your holidays with that you are happy and healthy. I know many are away from loved ones and that is hard especially at Christmas. I’m missing some of my family terribly but I know they are with good people and they are safe.
