Computer gets sick when I have lots to talk about
Big appologies from me for not posting. The computer decided to get very ill and had to go on a little holiday to be fixed.
Isn’t it amazing how our lives now depend on computers and mobile phones. It’s like someone cutting off you right arm when you don’t have either.
Fortunately I didn’t lose any data just alot of time.
First of all I know that you are all waiting to find out who the winner is of “Dress it up”
Well it is Daisy Jane. Please send you address and I can get it off to you, congratulations.
I have so much to talk about.
I have had a group of 10 wonderful ladies here from Port Macquarie in NSW for a 5 day retreat.
We had a wonderful time. I hope they enjoyed themselves as much as I did.
This is after dinner on the first night
They have just finished eating this.
As well as alot of eating we did alot of shopping.
I took them all up to Monteville for a morning of retail therapy. We all parted with some well earned dollars on numerous things including clothes, shoes, bags jewellery to name just a few.
The afternoon was spent with Penny and the girls at The Patchwork Angel for a little fabric shopping.
It was so much fun.
Here we are outside the shop. Most of us had already loaded our purchases into the car.
The following morning they went to the Eumundi markets while I stayed at home to prepare high tea for them.
That night we had Pizza ,Patchwork and Pyjamas and a few chocolate treats including chocolate pasta with cherries and cream caramel sauce Yummmm and hand rolled truffles from my Dutch chocolatier friend Louisa.
The beauty treatments also started that night. Facials, pedicures, manicures and massages.
We did lots of sewing, talking and eating and all too soon it was time to say goodbye until next year when 7 of them will return for another week. This time we will be hosting the wonderful Karen Cunningham for 2 lots of 2 day workshops in August. If anyone is interested in joining us for that you are very welcome. We have a couple of vacancies now that I have stretched from 1 – 2 day workshop to 2 – 2 day workshops.
On that note I will leave you, I have to go and get ready for the next lot of guests coming in today and then another 5 day retreat starting on Sunday afternoon. Have a great day where ever you are.
